The Bride

Being the most important person on the day your flowers have to be just perfect! First of all let me say there are no set rules for wedding flowers.... but to make it easier be sure to have your dress colour and style organised before you choose your wedding flowers. There is nothing worse than falling in love with a bouquet only to find it doesn't go with your dress! A few things to also look at is what time of the year are you getting married? If it is in the summer you want to make sure your flowers will last the day, Gerbera's Lilie's and Singapore Orchids are great in the summer time just to name a few. You will also need to think of the style. A few examples would be a teardrop which is quiet a traditional bouquet with all the flowers being wired. Or perhaps something more modern like a round bouquet of natural stemmed roses, camellia leaves and tied with a sheer ribbon. Just let your imagination run wild!

Bridesmaids

Your maids will take on the theme that you have chosen for yourself but remember there are no rules so if that doesn't suit you just change it! But generally speaking the maids will have similar flowers to the bride. For example if the bride were to have a teardrop in lilies and roses the maid could carry a posy in the same but perhaps change the colour to match the colour of their dress.

Some examples..... Posy - May consist of 1 flower perhaps roses or gerberas or if your wedding is more relaxed or in a garden then maybe a mixed posy with traditional garden flowers.  Arm Bouquet - Flowers rest in the arm.   Drop bouquet - a more traditional bouquet with it being a round bouquet with a small drop almost in the shape of a tear. Modern Bouquet - Off centred.

Flower Girls

Our gorgeous little flower girls love their part on the day! A basket of flowers to match the bride looks wonderful or maybe they will have a sash to match the maids? If that's the case add a touch of the maids colour to bring it all together. If you have a flower girl who is a little older or dressed like the maids why not give her a miniature bouquet to match? Again the sky is the limit! You may decide on something different like a basket filled with rose petals to scatter as she walks down the isle or if she is a tiny tot maybe a baby wrist corsage.

Church Flowers & Pew Bows

Your church arrangements will generally be made up in "A" shape style and the flowers will match your theme. Pew Bows will usually consist of of a sheer or satin ribbon with or without a flower to match, and the general rule is to make up every second pew. When booking your church ask if there will be any other wedding on the day, if so you may be able to cut costs by sharing the cost with other brides as long as you are happy to use a netural colour.
